Yesterday's Record Setter

If it was Thursday, It must be a trail run at Red Rock. Usual suspects; there's Oscar with his dog, here comes Larry and he has Sky and Shadow his dogs, I'm here or there, I think, it's pretty early still, WAIT......

......What's this, another Chasqui? Sweet, Matt Leck showed up to run round the mountain.

Last week Larry took it easy on me and we ran it in 1:18. I don't know what happened, we ran it in 1:06 yesterday. I felt it too, I was baked the rest of the day. Matt was kind enough to not make me look too bad in front of my mates, but I know he still had a little in the tank when we finished. I ran the downhill faster than ever thanks to Matt the locomotive being right on my heels and Oscar the beast right on his heels. You ever have a dream you are in a tunnel or on a mountain trail or something and end up having to run from a train, truck, avalanche, pissed off mother bear? That was my downhill experience yesterday. I am glad Team Chasqui is in good hands when Matt's out on the road.
