Oh that's right Chasqui's, he went there...and represented the new gear! By now I'm sure you have all seen the team shirts...but if not...feast on this little preview!

Myself (Chasqui Dray) and Chasqui Mase decided to get a little altitude run in while we were away with the fam over the long weekend. We were very eager to hit the dirt road that wraps around Kolob Reservoir, well that was before we got there. When we arrived and found that it was 32 degrees and woke up to snow the next morning we were less eager to put on the running shoes and do our thing. However, because there is Chasqui blood running through our veins, and the temperature finally got up to 50 on day three, we laced em up and hit the dirt. Mase was a little more in his element, since he resides in Utah, at this altitude (approx. 8,000 ft), then I was, however we were both feeling the thin air or rather not feeling the thin air make its way to our lungs. Our run ended a little short at 2.5 miles, but we got a taste of the altitude and had a decent run (I'm sure all the junk food that accompanies a weekend in the mountains wasn't helping our cause). The scenery was great and by mid way through the run, despite the lower temperatures, we were wanting to get rid of the extra layers.

Don't be afraid to flash the "Chasqui" while you are running! Look closely and you will see us representing with our right hands flashing the C for Chasqui.
Warning: Running at higher altitudes may cause you to go a bit LOOPY!?
See below for example.

Special thanks to our spouses, Alison and Jessica, for the pictures of our adventure.
