Let me start off by including my Garmin info. Don't know if anyone cares but here is Leg 1 info.

Leg 2
It's just after 3 in the morning. What the heck am I doing getting ready to run? Van 2 tried to sleep a little at the Morristown Elementary. Sandy, Liesel, and Warren went inside the school, Lexi and Bree stayed in the car and stretched out on the seats, I took my sleeping bag and laid it out in the play yard. I think I got a little over an hour of sleep when I woke up and heard coyotes just out of sight, running around in the bushes and barking and yelping and carrying on. It was pretty cool as it seemed close enough to just reach out and touch them. I got a call from Kara I believe, that let us know JB was 2 miles out and getting chased by dogs. That'll put a fire in your ass to get goin' eh JB? Exchange went well and van 2 was in the game again.
My 2nd leg was my shortest at 4.9 miles. The night air was crisp, but not cold, well at least not as cold as the night leg was at Wasatch Back. Lexi motored into the exchange and I was off. The leg followed the Carefree Hwy with the lights of Pheonix off to our right side. The road had some rollers and every once in awhile, whilst glancing towards Pheonix, the silhouette of a huge suhuaro cactus would pass by. Ok , that was cool. There happened to be 4,756,921,630 stars in the sky that night, I know I counted em. Ok, that was really cool too. The best thing was that I was flying. Leg 2 was my fastest leg and I felt invincible. Notice I said "felt", not "was" invincible. Check out the Garmin info if you'd like:

I get 1.5 miles from the finish of the leg and this guy passes me. I told him to stay strong, he was looking good, I was being extremely cool as I am wont to do from time to time. He didn't say a word in passing, not one word, not even shut up, or you suck, or anything. Ok, so this guy is DB numero uno and we are starting a short, steep hill I'm intent on passing him back. Lesson kiddies; don't go after revenge on a hill. I couldn't catch him. Oh well, it was a beautiful night, I was running fast, feeling good, and Leisel the Diesel (cuz she hauls)was waiting at the exchange.
Leg 3 comes in just a jiff!!

Good to hear about your individaul legs. Since I was the runner right after you I wasn't in the van to hear much about each of your runs. I'm anxious to hear about your leg 3. Still don't know how you did that one...HOT HOT HOT! It sucked!! You are amazing!
