Hello fellow Chasquis,
As you have read from previous post Team Chasqui made a good showing at the inaugral Ragnar Los Angeles. But, what you may not know is that our bright red hoody team Chasqui sweatshirts impressed, intimidated and utterly dominated the fashionista competition. Walking in force, our red tidalwave of running talent crashed over the other teams, no doubt leaving a thick residue of envy.
Yes! We looked that good.
While I have two Ragnars under my belt, this was the first time I actually ran. A year ago for Ragnar Wasatch Back (Utah) I just tagged along filming the event from the air-conditioned comfort of the rental van. Not so lucky this time. I had three tough legs to do adding up to 11 miles in total! While its true that Dennis' third leg alone was 11 miles, it coud'nt have been too hard as Dennis is an accountant, and used to big numbers. Good Job Dennis!
Chasqui Morgan had a tough go this time around being assaulted by both a curb and several overgrown tree roots. But, no matter to Mr. Mind over Matter as Chasqui Morgan is apparently taking on the Nation's best Masters swimmers tomorrow. Good Luck Morg!
But really, I had a great time with all you fellow masochist. There is no doubt its worth it once several weeks pass by. JB, special shout out and THANKS to getting the team together and pulling it off. Great Job!
I could write more about everyone on our team, but since I am at work right now, and considering the economy is in peril, I shall be brief.
