The other day I was driving home from the gym, headed south on Bluff St. in St. George. Of course, I was driving my AWESOME minivan, just chillin, listening to some tunes, when another car came up to the side of me and slowed way down!! I obviously noticed the major slow down & casually glanced over, and the couple in the other car was just staring at me. The couple looked normal and nice, young like me...what the heck?! I turned my head back to the road and wondered why in the world they were staring at me for. All I could think was that I'd left my water bottle on my bumper, Hailey's backpack straps were hanging out the van door, or something else crazy... So on I drive. The other car still in the other lane driving a little ways ahead of me. THEN of course the upcoming light turns red and I can tell I'm going to be side-by-side with them at the light. MAN! I didn't want to know why they'd been staring at me! So I pull up to the side of them at the light and happen to realize that they are still looking over at me & now they're motioning for me to roll my window down. I was sooooo confused! So, I hesitantly rolled my window down... Here's the conversation we had at the red light on south Bluff Street...
Other car: "Hey! Are you a Chasqui?"
Me (still confused!): "Yeah, my husband & I run with the team."
Other car: "Really! Do you know Mike Carter?"
Me (just glad I don't have something hanging out my car): "Yes! We ran LA last year with him."
Other car (husband speaking): "Mike's my best friend. He's like my brother!"
Me: "How funny! Yeah, my cousin married Mike's brother Dennis!"
Other car: "That's awesome..."
LIGHT CHANGED TO GREEN!
Just feelin proud to be a Chasqui and glad to have the TEAM CHASQUI sticker proudly displayed on my ever cool minivan! Although I really wish I was running LA, I am excited to follow the team during the race along the coastline! Can't wait! See you all soon!

Whats up Team Chasqui its great to represent the team up here in St. George I think by the Las Vegas Ragnar this year we will be a house hold name!!!!
Didn't get their names. Really nice couple though. I can't even remeber what they were driving - just one of those crazy experiences...
The sticker helps our minivans look SO much cooler! Glad I have one on mine too!
