Ragnar Cometh

Chasqui's, we travel one week from tomorrow!! Ragnar So Cal is here, and I'm pretty damn excited. It has become tradition for me to write a review including everyone who ran that particular Ragnar AFTER the race. I will still do that the week AFTER the race. Today however, I am going to do a pre-race rundown. Here it goes:

Warnie- New house, move-in, and all that goes with it? Shoot I'd be exhausted just from that. Warnie is a veteran in every sense of the word. He knows Ragnar better than Ragnar. No better Chasqui to lead us out on Friday morning next week.

Mike C.- I have a feeling Mike C. is looking for a little redemption on the pavement of LA. Last year, last minute course changes added some good long miles to Mike C.'s legs. It's payback time now.

DeEtte- I've not had the privilege of running with DeEtte...until now. Any Chasqui Chica is ok by me. After coming back from a cycling accident, DeEtte is ready for a little Ragnar pain.

Dray- Dray is the other half of the Carter Bros. I think that after a lengthy tax season and last year's, last minute 10 mile leg, Dray is ready to dish out a little whoop ass. Ya'll, if Dray is on the road, that leg is as good as done.

Jocelyn- A Ragnar virgin. Another Chasqui Chica. It's all good by me. She doesn't seem to mind Chasqui farts either. She's a perfect fit for this group.

Paul- Van 2 has a super solid anchor in Chasqui Paul. Paul got screwed out of one of his legs last year during Ragnar So Cal. I guess everyone else should be thankful. Just wave and say hi as Paul blows past you.

Mckay- Macca has put down some crazy mileage leading up to this race. After getting "chicked" in the Ragnar LV video, Macca is ready to spill some testosterone. He will set a great tone leading off Van 2's efforts. The bar will be high.

Belinda- 1/2's, 10k's, Ragnar, Belinda does it all. She just runs. If she is brave enough to be the only Chasqui Chica in Van 2, this girl can take ANYTHING, even 19 miles of So Cal pavement.

A-rod- I know what's been motivating Aaron to get out and run in the mornings, good on ya' boy. I just want to witness a "bottle spike", that will make my race complete. A-rod's last leg is that 8 miler down Laguna Cyn. Kill it!!

JB- The brains of the operation. JB's gonna be injury/ pain free for this race. "C'mon race gods, smile down on JB's IT band and wrap it in soothing goodness that he might haul ass at Ragnar So Cal. Thank you."

Tay Tay- Taylor is another Ragnar virgin, and our "youngster". Dr. Collins has been busy with school, but still gets out and trains. Can't wait to pull in behind him and cross the finish line at Salt Creek.

There it is. I'm even more excited now. Just another quick thing. Read the Race Bible and have a good understanding of the new safety measures Ragnar will be enforcing. We (JB and I) will be strict on this as well. Keep Running, "My prediction? Pain"
