I sat in my car this morning, 5:30 am to be exact, waiting for the throng of Chasquis' to appear. I wait in vain. Since I am beginning to get a little sea sick due to the wind rocking the car, I decide to exit the vehicle and start my stretch in the pre-dawn light. All it took was one gust, just one gust of the that north wind and, where did I end up? Back in the car, on my way home is where.
Now this is the challenge. It becomes much more fun to run in a group, especially trails. I realize that some schedules are different, change them. The T, Thur, Sat schedule is the best because it allows a long run on Sat morning and then offers the "cherry on the sundea", a big plate of pancakes in my case. Yummy. Had there been even one other runner come out this morning I wouldn't have put my sorry butt back in the car. We would have had a super run and I wouldn't be lamenting my wussiness as I type. So......when others feel inclined to join the group, lets do it. Does anyone else have meeting places for early morning, weekday runs? Throw 'em into the comments section of the blog and share. I try to do trails just because I have nearly 40 year old knees.

My MWF schedule will turn into a MWFS schedule next week, thus allowing me to run four days a week instead of only three, which is better for me. I'll be totally down for some Saturday trails. Heck, some MWF trails would even be nice, considering my 26-year old knees are feeling like they're 40...not to mention the fierce back pain last night. Ouch. Oh well, Hammer Nutrition sent me an S-load of crap last night. I'm talking sample packs of electrolytes, endurance gel and energy powder, when all I ordered was a tub of Recover-Rite! Hopefully all those fun things will make me numb to the point where I feel no pain.
JB- the folks at Hammer are super cool. Their products rock. I'll be posting a few more sites that make excellent product. Anyone else, get deep into the tube while your surfing the net and visit the links I have included. High altitude training this weekend. See ya' on Monday.
Hey team. Just to add to the excellent links, another link for lots of good running stuff is runnersworld.com. Lots of good info.
wd- thanks for the shout. Runners World, Duh!!
