Well, that sucked! My legs are just baked. My first leg of Ragnar is 3.6 flat. My first simulated leg was about 3.2 if I remember correctly. Ok, pretty equal. My second Ragnar leg is 6.4 flat (well it gains like 200 ft over 6 miles). My second simulated leg was 7.2 of trails with about 1100 ft of gain over the 7 miles. I'm ahead at this point I think. Last leg of Ragnar is the Beyotch Ragnar leg, 4.0 miles straight up. My last simulated leg was like barely 2.5 (my attention span on the dreadmill was showing negative), plus I should have waited till later in the day to do. I did the early run on Tues at 5:30 am. I did the last leg at 10:45. Just not enough recovery time. I was in a hurry to meet JB for lunch. Anyway I think the advantage is now on the side of the actual race. All in all a good excercise. Variables I couldn't account for: I wasnt going to not sleep Mon night, no way. I couldn't account for running at elevation. And I couldn't simulate that last leg's elevation gain. Then, like a moron, I got up this morning and went to swim practice. OUCH!
I need a nap.
