Drama all up in Team Chasqui!!!

Well, not really, but we do have a new runner. Mindi Mehr, one of our stars, recently found out that she is preg-o and won't be able to compete in the race. So first and foremost, Congratulations, Mindi! You're going to be a great mom.

Her departure, however, left a gaping hole in the team roster (Mindi was signed up to run the longest distance of the whole race) . But Mindi, being the team player that she is, didn't pull out of the race until she had someone else lined up to take her place. Turns out that Mindi's husband Sam (who also is racing and a strong runner) has a sister named Carrie (also bred to run, much like her sibling, Sam), and she is going to take Mindi's place. And to be honest, that's all I know about her!
