Hello fellow chasquis, Warren Here. It took me awhile, but I thought I would finally make my contribution to the team blog. I run a few times a week, but nothing exciting ever happens. However I did represent the chasquis in a 10K this last weekend which turned out to be a great run. It was the annual Butch Cassidy 10K that started in Springdale, UT which is at the entrance to Zion National Park and ended in Grafton, which is a little ghost town that has been somewhat restored. I mostly wanted to run this one because I thought it would be a nice change of scenery from the Las Vegas neighborhoods, and it's a great time of year up in Zion.
I was cheered on by my race crew which consisted of Heather, Bree and my little man Parker. The weather was great. A little chilly at the start, but warmed up just perfect. The fall colors with the mountain backgrounds were beautiful. It was a good sized crowd, with over 200 people running. 6.2 miles was a little longer than I remembered, but I still managed to run close to my goal. Overall it was a great run in a beautiful location, and one which I think I will try to do again every year. Here are some pictures of the run.

Umm yeah, someone can't take pictures

Way to go Warren! I wish I would have heard about the race - I would have ran it with you. I've heard about the Butch Cassidy Run just didn't realize when it was! Great job. It's beautiful running weather here right now!!

Nice, Warren. It looks like it was really pretty there.
Warney!! Well done representing the Chasquis in So Utah. I would trade the black asphalt and rows of houses for that scenery anyday. Next time give a shout out a little earlier, a few more Chasquis might have made the trip. Excellent event report and pics.
