WELL DONE GENTS!

Wow, just got done reading the lastest race accounts from the Lake Las Vegas Triatholon over the weekend. Good Stuff. Hats off to Morgan, Jordan, Nick and especially Tristan, who destroyed his competition in the water. Not bad for being 14 years old and in his first triathlon.. Tristan, do you have an agent yet?

As a witness to the event, I can testify that it was tough STANDING and WAITING for almost an hour ..for the bike leg to finish, ha. No, really. The day warmed up quick and beyond the oasis of the Ritz Carlton and its palm trees is 100% desolate desert. It looked hard.

Now, while JB was "visiting" the restroom, I was outside waiting with my video camera. After a suspicious 5 minutes I left and started walking down the path that led to the water, where Tristan and Morgan would be finishing the swim. Only seconds down the path I see a wet-headed Tristan running right by me! Im like what's up TB! He's like what's up Weintzy! Very next thought: JB is screwed.

Seriously not 2 minutes later, Papa Morg comes flying up the same path on his way to the bike transition area. Yes, they paged JB. I know that had to have killed him - as he aluded to (see JB's Post: passing the baton). But as the saying goes, "when you gotta go you gotta go".

Anyways, from the sidelines watching, it was a cool event. May have to join you on some future Chasqui tri relay boys.

Great job again,

Chasqui Weintz

S.O.B. if Weintzy isn't just about the coolest guy around. Let's not forget that he is the sole Chasqui heading participating in the Mt. Charleston Hill Climb this Saturday. If I were going to be in town, you can bet your bottom dollar I'd be there cheering for him in full force.

Which reminds me, we totally need to get started on the Chasqui cycling jerseys. Anyone know a hip graphic designer who will do some pro-bono work for us?

Crap! Just caught my type-o. Now you, the lucky reader can choose if you would like Weintzy to be "heading" to or "participating" in the Mt. Charleston Hill Climb.

Great to have Weintzy out at Lake LV to cheer us on. Did you get any descent video out of it? Good luck on Vegas' version of l'Alpe.
