I am dang excited for the upcoming Ragnar Las Vegas Race. JB has assembled an awesome team. I can't wait to get us all together at the Valley of Fire on Oct 9. Training is going well. I sat down last night with a calendar and figured just what needed to be none and when. I am expecting to arrive at the start razor sharp and ready to bury myself for the team. Well that and an apple fritter from time to time.
Next week I am taking to the trails. The trails of Red Rock that is. Any takers out there? Probably Tue. 5:30 am departure, from the nice new parking lot up hwy 160 at the trailhead for the Late Night Trail, I have a nice 3.5 mile loop to run if anyone would like to join. It is just getting light out at that time, nice time to get used to running with a head lamp as we will have to use during our night legs of Ragnar. There is nothing better than running trails just as the sun is coming up. Occasional burro sightings, coyotes, roadrunners, rabbits, etc.
