I'll start with the first event. 50 free. 50 free was alright. I was seeded with a 24.64. I was a little late on my start, thus costing me some precious time, but I swam it in a 24.60 with the late start, but if I had gone on the buzzer it would've been a 23.8.
Number 2. 100 back. Ugh.... 100 back..... The 100 back was definitely not one of my best races. It was my first race of the day, and would be followed by the 100 fly. I hopped in the water. Swimmers take your marks. Buzzer. And Tristan slips!!! DOH! I kinda panicked under the water. And I went totally crazy on my underwater, thus completely depleting my leg power. I was so dead halfway through that race it was incredible. I was entered with a 1.02.## and swam it in a 1.03. something. It sucked... I was so bummed after I swam that. So then that threw off my fly race.
Number 3. 100 fly. Due to the previous situation my race was kind off. I was seeded with a 1.00.?? and added at least a second. Yuck.
Time trial 100 free. This was a beautiful swim. I was in the heat with an 18 year old on my team who was time trialing for the 100 fly. I swam the 100 free at state in 54.64 and 57 days after that I swam it in 53.18. Crazy stuff! That was awesome.
Time trial 100 back. After slipping on that start, I HAD to redeem myself. I time trialed it and dropped my 1.02 down to a 1.00.75 :D. Made me feel a lot better. Ended the meet on a more positive note.
Overall, I did pretty good in this meet, aside from the add in the 100 fly of course.
